Antioxidents help to protect our bodies from the damaging effects of "free radicals". Some "free radicals" arise normally during metabolism. Sometimes the body’s immune system’s cells purposefully create them to neutralize viruses and bacteria. However, environmental factors such as pollution, radiation, cigarette smoke and herbicides can also spawn free radicals.

Normally, the body can handle free radicals, but if antioxidants are unavailable, or if the free-radical production becomes excessive, damage can occur. Of particular importance is that free radical damage accumulates with age.

Other chemicals and substances found in natural sources of antioxidants such as fruit and berries may also be responsible for the beneficial effects. So for now, the best way to ensure adequate intake of the antioxidant nutrients is through a balanced diet consisting of 5-8 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.

Beyond Berries is a supreme blend of Nature’s most nutrient rich fruits and berries. Beyond Berries is the one and only product on the planet that delivers a full, synergistic combination of antioxidant rich concentrated fruits and berries, active enzymes, fulvic minerals and probiotics.

These sound really good for nutrition. I found Naturally Pomegrante (a liquid supplement) aqt the super market, 1 oz serving is equal to 16 pomegrantes and lots of antioxidants too - tastes rich and full bodied. Might be a good alternative for those who don't like to swallow pills. And it blends nicely in a smoothie too.

I love all the info here on your blog and will be adding you to my blogroll resource page. If you'd like to exchange links that would be great - but totally optional.

Thanks Rose! Pomegrante is a great fruit for sure! Why have only pomagranite when you can have 30 of the most powerful fruits and berries including pomagranite with "Beyond Berries"!
PS. I love your site too!
