Super Foods

The term "Super Foods" is used to describe certain foods that have high quantities of important nutrients that the body needs to function at peak performance and also to support optimum aging. Some of these "Super Foods" have qualities found in no other source. Some can help cure disease or ease the effects of stress and aging.

Look at some of the recent headlines:
Experts say dozens of easy-to-find 'superfoods' can help ward off heart disease, cancer, cholesterol, and more.

Ten Superfoods for Age-Defying Beauty The benefits from eating healthy are endless. And, according to Dr. Nicholas Perricone, some foods can be eaten to help you look and age better!
Try including some of the following "super foods" into your diet. Each food contains vitamins, nutrients and/or minerals that are believed to contain special properties for health, disease prevention and/or longevity.
Excerpt from The Nibble - Definition of a Superfood
There is no government definition, but a superfood is a natural food source that is highly concentrated with a complex supply of quality nutrients. The açaí berry is considered a superfood because of its extremely high level of anthocyanins (an antioxidant), vitamins A and C and omega 6 and 9 essential fatty acids, fiber and amino acids. Others include blueberries, coffee berries, raw cacao, goji berries, green tea and pomegranate. According to a 2007 report from Datamonitor, “Superfood & Drinks: Consumer Attitudes to Nutrient Rich Products,” the superfood food and beverage market is expected to double by 2011 as consumers are paying more attention to diet and nutrition and increasingly seeking food and drinks with additional health-promoting benefits.
The United States government is banning the use of the word superfood in marketing as of 2010. While this seems to be an issue of semantics to me it is important to realize that God put certain plants, seeds, berries and other real food products on our planet to help with both preventing and curing disease. Inert, synthetic "supplements" can never be expected to produce the same effect as organically grown, raw, live whole foods. By varying the use of these "Super Foods" we can enjoy a "Super Diet" of different rich colored live food products such as:
Purple Grape
Noni Fruit
Mangosteen
Goji
Acai
Blueberry
Pomagranate
Bilberry
Barley Grass
Alfalfa
Spinach
Beet
Blue green Algae
Spirulina
Broccoli
Garlic
Cayenne
Flax Seed
Oat Bran
Wheat Sprouts
Aloe Vera
Include some of these "Super Foods" in your daily diet to be sure that you are getting nature's full support for your body. An easy way to be sure that you are getting the powerful benefits of these nutrient dense foods daily is by enjoying a Uri "Feast". The Feast is the only product on the market that provides a synergistic, all natural, nutritionally balanced combination of Nature's most beneficial whole food concentrates, including minerals, enzymes and probiotics.
The Feast is a convient all-in-one concentrated whole food supplement that delivers a full, synergistic spectrum of over 176 natural ingredients including all of the "Super Foods" listed above. Each serving contains naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, antioxident compounds, amino acids, enzymes, essential fatty acids, fiber and phytonutrients.
